“Holistic” or other pseudoscientific opinions are not based on science. That pretty much means that no-one has been able to prove their validity. You are free to believe what you wish, but “stories” or “testimonials” are not valid evidence and they do not prove anything.

There is no inherent danger in processed food. Some food is healthier, some less so, but it totally depends on what food we are talking about. “Undetectable” mercury vapours do not exist. And so on…

Yes and no yes I think its not always the case that medication should be the first option but its not all about diet its about genetics and diet and fitness and life experiences and many many other facts. getting exercise and a good well balanced diet is a good thing and that goes for everyone not just those of us with mental health problems.

Edit: yes your hormones could be out and maybe you should also have your thyroid tested (by your GP doctor) just to also rule that out as a problem. but as for doctors not doing there tests right that’s wrong of them. I never trust anyone that is just wanting to put other services down.
