What is an Anti Candida diet?

Candida Albicans is an ordinarily found yeast in the human body. However due to imbalances in the body and dropped working of the immune mechanism, this yeast can lose control and spread over all of the systems in the body. If Candida Albicans isn’t controlled it can end up in some heavy issues. The cure of this yeast infection can be done in one of 3 ways. One is to straight away stop using all antibiotics, contraception medicine or any other drugs that change hormone levels.

2nd way is to anti-fungal medicine or homeopathy tablets. A 3rd technique which is to be followed with the above 2 is to go on an anti Candida diet that may help stop the rash growth of the yeast. An anti Candida diet is essentially a diet which eliminates all those foods the yeast feeds on. So by not taking in any of the yeast friendly food, you are controlling it such that anti-fungal medicine can work successfully. Whilst an anti Candida diet includes an extensive list of foods that should be steered clear of, the first food to be eliminated is that which is high in sugars, refined carbs and gluten rich grains.

When following an anti Candida diet it is vital that you not take any type of sugar. This includes lactose present in milk and other dairy products, honey, fructose in fruits, glucose for example. Apart from lemon which does not have sugar, it is best to restrict intake of all fruits as well as sugar rich veg like yams, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, and so on. An anti Candida diet also eliminates processed foods like ketchup, yoghurt, cereal etc which contain sugar. An anti Candida diet also demands that you’re not taking in carbohydrate rich food since Candida eat carbohydrates also. Foods that are high in carbs include breads, pizza, pasta, potatoes, and other baked products. It also includes grains like wheat, corn, oats, rice and so on.

An anti Candida diet also eliminates carbohydrate rich plants like beans, zucchini, peas, corn, carrots, beets for example. Gluten rich food is also to be evaded when following an anti Candida diet. These foods include wheat, rye, oats, barley and so on. Gluten is to be evaded because it’s got a high glycemic index like sugar and therefore feeds Candida.

Other foods that are not recommended in an anti Candida diet include aged cheeses since Candida prevents the proper processing of fat. An anti Candida diet also means that you duck alcohol as it is high in sugar, caffeine and other stimulants as the sugar and sweetner turn on the Candida. Chocolate is also a no no in the anti Candida diet because Candida love chocolate as much as you do. An anti Candida diet counsel you do not have too much spice and hot food as it tends to destroy the other bacteria in the gut, leaving Candida free to grow. On the other hand, an anti Candida diet has a list of foods that you can eat green veggies, beef, fowl, fish, low sugar fruits like apples, plant oils ( not hydrogenated ones ), garlic, onions, and heaps of clean filtered water.
