Candidiasis, also known as Candida, is a condition which describes the overgrowth of yeast in the human body. This yeast, scientifically known as Candida Albicans, is a single celled fungi and together with many billions of organisms, exists harmoniously in the body. Candida Albicans can be found on the skin and in all the mucous membrane layers in humans which includes the intestines, stomach, lungs, eyes, ears, vagina etc.
